Case for reviving Applepedia
There are some topics that would benefit from a wiki treatment that wouldn't fit well in Wikipedia, such as:
- secure virtual memory is not treated on WP, and would be hard to treat well because of the poor documentation of the feature.
- Pages outlining the bestiary of mac discussion, eg. John Gruber, John Siracuse, Rixstep, etc.: decent treatment of such folks is hard to do on WP because of editorial policy of living folks. There's room for Applepedia to carve out a niche ehere, if only because there isn't enough money here for anyone to sue...
So what about it? Chalst 14:59, 12 June 2007 (CEST)
