System 6
From Applepedia
- System 6
- Added true 32-bit memory addressing. System 6 was the last version of the system which only ran one application at at time, and is thus the last version that was free of bloat. It was a very fast OS!

Characteristics of System 6
System 6 fit on a floppy, booted fast, was stable as hell, and had Multifinder support. What more could you need? System 6 also supports MFS disks, but could not boot off one.
