My router uses WEP encryption and OS X is rejecting my hex key!

If your WEP key is in hex you have to put a $ in front of it, but if it's in ASCII you have to enter the key in double-quotes.

If I get the airport extreme card, will there be any issues getting it online with the same wireless network my PC's are on?

Airport Extreme is technically just 802.11g, so you shouldn't have a problem getting on most WiFi networks.

I've tried adding a server to /etc/hosts, but it's not working!

It may be cached, or overridden, see the hosts page for info on how to set up the lookup order. Alternatively use NetInfo Manager instead.
