MySync is a syncing utility that emulates .mac syncing, but .mac is not needed. It is currently in beta testing status and available for free. It will become shareware once it leaves public beta testing.

Features include:

  • Automatic detection of other MySync nodes on your local network, using Bonjour.
  • Syncs any datatype that is compatible with Apple's Sync Services. For example, Address Book, Safari Bookmarks, and iCal.
  • Sync manually, or at scheduled intervals.
  • Sync multiple accounts on the same Computer (with each other, and/or with other Computers).
  • Remote syncing (to and from nodes outside your local network).
  • SSL encryption.
  • Password authentication.
  • Keep-alive connections (for tunneling through firewalls).
  • Emergency Data Restore facility.
  • Growl compatible.
