The Mac Plus was a noticable advance over the original Macintosh, with a whole meg of RAM (upgradeable to 4 MB). This was also the first Macintosh to introduce SCSI (pronounced 'Scuzzy'), an interface to connect scanners, hardrives, etc that would be standard on nearly every pre-G3 Mac.
