Major features
- Spaces
- For multiple monitors, one space is the area of all of your monitors, and they congregate on your main monitor only when you press the spaces key
- Time Machine
- Quick Look
- Hides when finder goes into the background
- Stacks
- "Springing" option
- You can't change the icon of Stacks yet, so folders are indistinguishable
- If you have the dock on the side of the screen instead of the bottom, the spring folders don't look the same; you get the bezel effect instead
- Updated Finder
- Your computer (root of finder file system) now has an icon corresponding to your Mac model
- doesn't seem to work for everyone. Works with G4 Quicksilver though, I guess intel macs just suck
- Column view is sortable!
- New icons for directories and stuff
- Coverflow
- "Item info" on disks on desktop still never updates
- Alternating row colors in list view
- Generates thumbnails for images, videos (quicktime components supported), text files, fonts, etc. Uses these for icon view and coverflow

- "more" in contextual menu, with "send to bluetooth device", automator, and folder actions

- Bluetooth phone setup is a lot better now. Comes with support for at least Sony Ericsson GSM/GPRS/3G settings out of the box. And a much cleaner input for username, password, APN, and CID. PAN setup is a lot easier; you had to do everything just right in Tiger to get it to show up in the menu.

- New Sharing preference pane
- Per-user options
- Per-directory options
- Integrated with Bluetooth sharing
- The Airport wifi network browser from the menubar is 100% better. When you click on it it opens instantly and scans for networks and groups them into Open and Secured Networks
