Internet
- centericq - A command line multi-protocol chat client.
- irssi - Simply the best IRC client ever made.
- lynx - THE command-line web-browser
- elinks - THE command-line web-browser
- wget - Can be used to grab single files off the internet (wget http://filename.exe) or rip entire websites(wget -rp http://website.com).
- mozilla - Believe it or not, the fastest browser for MacOS X is the X11 version of Mozilla.
- X-Chat - A very fine IRC client ported over

- cowsay - Say things through the mouth of a cow.
- dict - A great dictionary program.
- FIGlet - Outputs giant text, limitless uses for that!
- ispell - Spellcheck a single word or an entire document.

Multimedia
- avidemux - Looking for a VirtualDub-like program for video editing? Look no further than Avidemux. It's available from Fink and DarwinPorts
- jhead - Can't remember the ISO speed you used when you took that picture of your shiny new butan? jhead displays the jpeg header information, which usualy contains: camera used, film speed, and more.
- pngcrush - Compress your already small PNG files 25% or more.

- ifstat (DarwinPorts only)- Shows your current upload/download in realtime, great for monitoring network usage when you're away from your computer.
