LC stands for "Low cost Color", and were a range of cheap color Macs for homes and schools.
Flirtin' with Performa
Some LC models were bundled with a ton of software, and renamed "Performa", while some PowerPC Performa models were renamed LC to get away from the bad stigma of the "Performa" name.
